About me

I'm Michael, a Software Engineering and Management student (BSc) at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden (2022-2025) with a strong passion for Informatics.
I also hold a degree in Informatics from the HTL St. Pölten, Austria (2016-2021) , with a strong focus on software engineering, database design, and network technologies.

In my spare time, I enjoy working on personal coding projects to refine my skills. My coding journey began in 2016, and by 2017, I discovered an interest in web development, a passion I followed several years. Over the years, I have explored various other fields of software development, leading me to shift my main interest from frontend to backend development.

Apart from Software Engineering, I enjoy language learning (currently Swedish ~B2 and Russian ~A2), brewing beer/kombucha/mead/etc and making espresso.

My projects

Technologies I'm using

Python Logo

I started using Python around 2018, immediately liked it and decided to give a 4h crash course on it at my High School, back in 2019. Since then I have mostly been using it for ML, including sk-learn and TensorFlow.

Spring Logo

I've been using Spring (Boot) since I learnt it in school, and I've learnt to love it over the years - the ecosystem is huge, and it's easy to get started with.

Flutter Logo

Flutter is my framework of choice for building mobile/cross-platform apps.

Docker Logo

In university project teams, I'm usually the one who dockerizes everything, especially in larger teams and when working with new technologies – it can be a time saver when it comes to locally setting up projects on everyone's machine. I'm also running over 15 Docker containers for various services on my "home server" (euphemism for old laptop), since I believe it makes (re-)deployment easier.
